DCS Control System Design And Research On Sugar Production Line

With the progress of automation technology,the costs of automation hardware become lower and lower.Instead,the cost of labor resources is continually rising.In this situation,although the sugar industry used manual production mode traditionally,automatic control technology has been gradually applied in the sugar industry and continuous developed in this 20 to 30 years.At present,in the mass production of raw sugar and refined sugar,sugar production lines usually use DCS control system as the central control system,which can achieve centralized management,distributed control and redundancy control for each production process in the sugar production line.A set of perfect and reliable DCS control system is important for a sugar plant to enhance the level of technology,stabilize the quality of product and improve the production efficiency.Therefore,carrying out a set of practical DCS control system for the sugar production line based on the the study of the DCS control system,will have the practical significance and a big market value.In this paper,background of a sugar plant which has the ability to deal with 7000 tons cane per day,analyze the characteristics of each production process,determine the monitoring and control tasks,and design a set of practical monitoring and control scheme for each process.Then in accordance with the process technical requirements and equipments' running environments,select the appropriate instruments for each monitoring point.At last,according to the actual production requirements,determine the structure of DCS control system,and give a set of design scheme for the sugar production DCS control system.The sugar plant put into use successfully in Oct.2015.The DCS control system is running well.The engineering indexes meet the design requirements.This project was well received by the owner.
