Social Situation And Dress Behavior

In the related theory of clothing,social situation and people’s dress behavior are closely linked from the Angle of social psychology.This not only involves people’s psychological behavior,also involves people’s social behavior,the expression of personality and so on.Although clothing social psychology has not spread to the institutions of higher learning,people have constantly new cognitive about society and further understanding of the cognition of human beings.The new reevaluation of that social situation have influence on our clothing behavior is helpful for people to standing in the perspective of social psychology forming new views on the role of clothing.In various situations the social significance of clothing is based on the overall appearance,social situation,and even in a broader cultural and historical context no matter where and when.Clothing will change because of the influence of these factors.This article mainly study the impact of social situation on dress behavior from the cognitive point of view,the symbolic interaction theory point of view and cultural perspective.The first point is how people produce cognitive to social situation,and explained that through the concept in the theory of cognitive schema.The second point is social situation impact people’s self-awareness and self presents,which described by using the symbolic interaction theory and related knowledge of multiculturalism.Finally the thinking of the above theory and phenomenon can let fashion designer know what should be more noticed when they designs clothes,and makes those theories be used in practice.Those dress phenomenon are coming from observation of residents daily dress phenomenon in Shenzhen Futian district.
