In order to advancing the domestic creativity value, the research is going through from the ancient development of inspiration to its scientific significance nowadays, and to explore the definition of applying inspiration for apparel design.Inspiration has been proved by psychologistis that it contains evocation, transcendence and approach motivation. From the literature review we can also conclude that those specifications of inspiration which involved with self communication and creativity, are very importants for designers.Based on L and R mode of mind transformation, we can get to know that both of them are averagely crictical abilities for fashion industry. The creative mind theory which are Inspiration-Motivation-Incubation-Verification, is more prominent in cooperative work and communication combination is is a prerequisite for fashion designers'essential.During the deriving period, designers need to use different level of inspiration data research according to different stages and purposes. And for those level of researches, designers also have to use quantitative or qualitative descriptive and analytical proposition research methods to get inspiration for design data beneficial.Therefore, designers can maily use the classification, integration, analysis and reflection to apply the inspiration knowledges on apparel design. When the designers face a large number of inspired information, narrative or non-narrative narrative, causality and contrast will be encouraging designers to create design value.
