Chinese kitchen culture has a long history,which records the process of the Chinese nation’s history and development.Therefore,Sorting of The change of the kitchen form and studying of explore the design culture of Chinese kitchen means a lot.In terms of practice,the studying helps Chinese kitchen industry create products that are more responsive to contemporary family needs;In terms of theory,the studying helps enriching the cultural history of ancient Chinese kitchen creation.The Chinese kitchen has undergone eight morphological changes:(1)In the Stone Age,human beings formed social groups with maternal ties,”Bonfire”is exactly the kitchen.(2)Neolithic men began to build houses to ensure the privatization of property and the integrity of the pedigree,in that period,The kitchen is dominated by fire ponds.(3)In the slave society,Chinese people have had The concept of “cooking”,and started making cooking utensils;During this period,The kitchen was more seated in the corner of the bedroom.(4)The dynasties during the Qin to the Song is rapid development period of food farming instruments and cooking skills and the theology of kitchen,the kitchen started to be recherche,slaughterhouse and are separated from kitchen.(5)The pluralistic social factors during the yuan Ming and Qing dynasties made there had been a trend of diversification in kitchen culture,furthermore,the kitchen style was more tend to be setting the dining table in the kitchen.(6)During the early period of New China,There are four types of kitchen in China,they were Shared kitchen、Coal ball stove、Communal Dining and The traditional kitchen.(7)Since the urban planning strategy proposed by the third plenary session of the eleventh central committee,The kitchen became part of the commercial house.(8)The nineties of 20 th century,Overall kitchen cabinets were entering the Chinese market,which is still the mainstream product of family kitchen.The inspiration to contemporary kitchen design from the evolution of Chinese kitchen is theoretically based on "cultural spatial structure matrix".Combine the four quadrants "Behavior/interaction、Material/Design、Philosophy/Consciousness、Folk custom/Custom" in theoretical model with The evolution of the kitchen.We obtained the cultural structure of Chinese kitchen which composed by four quadrants "The kitchen work、The kitchen form、The kitchen religion、The kitchen folklore".Then we utilized this four quadrants to respectively analyze four kinds of design cases "Panasonic L-CLASS kitchen、Chinese style open plan kitchen、Kitchen god chopping block suite、Household fruit and vegetable intake system".Afterwards,we analyzed the Multi-quadrant composite form in "cultural spatial structure matrix" by combining "Kitchen space expansion" with "Sustainable kitchen design".
