| Since China entered into WTO in 2000,the growth of foreign trade is gradually increasing, especially the export trade. As one of the three main engines for promoting the development of China’s economy,it plays an important role in the growth of China’s economy. However, the development of our export trade is based on consuming large amounts of energy and damaging environment,it not only created huge economic benefits for our country, but also brought up large quantities of carbon dioxide, contributing to global warming. With the growth of export trade and economy of China, climate change and environmental problems is severing.[55]How to reduce the carbon emissions embodied in the export trade is being a hot point of all the nations.China is one of the world’s largest energy consumption and carbon emissions,it is necessary to undertake the corresponding obligations to cut emissions. In the signing of the Paris agreement in 2016,it also made clear that countries need to quickly change into a low carbon and climate resilient economies in the future. As the main object of study, the carbon emissions embodied in the export trade mainly aimed at measuring total carbon emissions, analyzing its influencing factors, understanding the environmental impact of China’s trade correctly, providing references to adjust the export structure and optimize the industrial structure in China, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, realizing the climate-resilient economy as soon as possible. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction, mainly introduces the background, significance, related research, the main methods, innovations and defects. The second part introduces the basic theory of carbon emissions embodied in trade. The third part and fourth part is the key chapters in this paper. The third part using the input-output model,on the basis of the input-output tables in 2002,2005,2007,2010,2012 and compiled input-output table of China’s 25 departments, selected the eight kinds of fuel and calculated the energy consumption in China’s industries and its corresponding coefficients, and operated it using the Matlab2010b software. Results showed that embodied carbon emissions in the export trade has increased 2.42 times from 471 million tons in 2002 to 1056 million tons in 2015.The carbon emissions embodied in China’s export trade is increasing,it not influence on China’s environment, but on the global. In order to develop the climate resilient economies,we must find out why carbon emissions embodied in China’s export trade is increasing all the time, and analyse various policies and approaches to reducing it,promote the development of low-carbon economies. So we use structural decomposition analysis model in part Ⅳ for decomposed it and regressed it use stata12.0,found out the specific factors. Results showed that the technological advances can help reduce carbon emissions embodied in export trade;the change of trade structure and its effects is uncertain;the increase in exports is an important factor for its increasing;the degree of environmental control is an external factor for it.Part ⅴ is conclusion and policy recommendations. This part is divided into two main sides, recommended policies from national and international view. |
