With the promotion of Industry 4.0 and Chinese manufacturing 2025, Information transformation of traditional manufacturing industry is imperative, the information of product design process is becoming the strategic commanding point in the enterprise market competition. In this paper, the application of digital design technology is deeply researched in enterprise design practice which is taking wheat equipment as the object and combined with PDM technology; a digital design system for wheat production is developed. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) On the basis of the analysis of enterprise needs, the system support technology is studied, the overall framework and architecture of the system are determined; the overall system modeling is realized. Aiming at the problem of data exchange between equipment design and production line design, a unified database system is established; data integration in the process of production line design and equipment design is realized.(2) Standardization Technology in the implementation of enterprise informatization is studied; SolidWorks Design Library and design template for enterprise needs is customized. And taking the scraper conveyor as the object, the standardization work of the product is carried out. Based on the product function structure, the module division and the product configuration are explored. Multiple model modeling and parameterized multi configuration module are organically combined; generalized modular design of scraper conveyor is completed. Aiming at the performance problems caused by parametric deformation design, fast analysis and optimization of key parts is studied; the integration of product design and analysis optimization process is realized.(3) Based on the analysis of enterprise data management requirements, the digital management technology based on the system of SolidWorks Enterprise PDM is researched, the practical application method of EPDM in enterprise is explored, the implementation of enterprise PDM system and work process management of the technical department is completed. A unified enterprise sharing resource manager is established; the digital management of enterprise data is realized.(4) Digital design system for wheat equipment is developed, the functions of the system planning are realized, and the design resources in EPDM system are integrated. Taking the scraper conveyor as the application object, the operation of the system and the digital management process are demonstrated. The effectiveness and feasibility of the research ideas and key technologies are verified in this paper.
