CNC machine tools have become main production equipments for machining because of its high precision, stable processing quality, high efficiency and convenience on establishing computer networks. It is significant to automatically collect and regulate machining task execution status for NC batch production. It can not only do benefits for site operators to complete tasks on time, it is also helpful for production managers to ensure the smooth implementation of machining tasks.At first, methods on regulating machining task execution status were researched, and it was analyzed the existing methods were lack of systematization and integration. Based on the existing research results and the demands of production-related personnel, it was analyzed production-related personnel valued quality status and progress status. The concept of machining task execution status was expounded, and it was pointed out the integrated regulating module was one part of networked management and intelligent monitoring system of automatic production line for machining gears.For the mode of batch NC machining, quality inspection, evaluation of process capability index, anomaly identification of control charts were researched to regulate the quality status. On the basis of this, an automatic collection method for NC machining progress status, based on the multi-sources information integration, was proposed. By using the method, a variety of machining progress information is achieved, including the number of qualified workpieces, rework workpieces and scraped workpieces and so on. Then, the integrated regulating method on regulating quality status and progress status of machining task for batch NC machining was established.Based on the above research, the integrated regulating module was developed. The framework, function, and data acquisition were described. The module was developed with C# and SQL Server 2005, and it was successfully integrated into the existing monitoring system of automatic production line for machining gear.The case study in a certain gear production line shows the method and integrated module was successfully applied to collect and regulate machining task execution status, and proves the proposed method can be applied in practical production process.
