Abstract/Summary:
Manufacturing technology is the main power in promoting human historydevelopment and the process of civilization, it’s the material foundation of economicand social development, it plays an important role in the national economy. With thedevelopment of computer technology and modern control theory, CNC machine tool hasappeared. In recent years it has appeared in almost of the manufacturing filed due to itsunique advantages. With the rapid development of CNC machine tool, it is beingdeveloped toward high efficiency, high speed, high precision, complex processing, fiveaxis machine tool is this high-grade CNC machine tool. It can process most of theprocedure of a workpiece through one time clamping, which greatly increasing theproduction efficiency. It is the best way in processing impeller, rotor and crankshaft.It is always the main components using five axis CNC machine tool, because itsmaterial, surface quality and precision requirements are generally high and traditionmethod will cause a great waste. Virtual machining technology can construct model ofCNC machine tool, simulate workpiece processing, verify NC code, and solve theprocessing problems, so it has a very good application prospect. In this paper, I will useCNC simulation software VERICUT and CAD/CAM software UG NX6.0. through theestablishment of virtual five axes machine tool and tool library, complete the engineimpeller virtual machining, the main contents are as follows:(1) Learning UG NX6.0, using its CAD function to complete the impeller’sdigitized modeling and using its CAM function to simulate tool path, generateprocessing path and post building the NC code.(2)Learning VERICUT7.0software function modules, and building a geometricand kinematics model of five axis CNC machine tool.(3)Using virtual machine tool and tool library built in the VERICUT, after inputthe impeller’s NC program to simulate impeller processing, check tool path, completevirtual processing and cutting speed optimization.
