Henan is an important producing area providing full flavor tobacco leaves with good quality and special style characteristic.However,the comprehensive evaluation study about quality style of Henan tobacco was little.Thus,quality indexes of 240 tobacco leaf samples(C3F)from 32 producing areas of Henan province were test.The comprehensive evaluation and location of their style characteristic indexes were studied by Arc GIS.Several statistical analysis approaches were used to analyze quality indexes and different behaviors of tobacco leaf from different style areas.Some key chemical components influencing tobacco style characteristics were studied.Those factors have great significance on the demand of good quality tobacco leaves of Chinese type cigarette.The main research conclusions are as follows:1?The result of the localization study of Henan tobacco leaf style as follows:Full flavor tobacco areas of Henan were divided into three kinds of style.(1)The style area of burnt aroma and burnt-sweetness aroma of eastern-Henan:Full flavor was less strong,baking flavor was more outstanding than baking sweet flavor.The motion state of aroma was over?ow with heaviness.The concentration of smoking was less strong and impact was less largish.It mainly included a small part of eastern areas of Henan,and the representative sample plots included Suixian and Luyi.(2)The balance style areas of burnt aroma and burnt-sweetness aroma of the central and southern Henan: Full flavor was strong in this area,burnt aroma and burnt-sweetness aroma were relative balance and obvious.The motion state of aroma was over?ow with heaviness.The concentration of smoking was strong and impact was largish.It mainly included the central and southern region of Henan,and the representative sample plots included Xiangxian,Jiaxian,Xuchang,Neixiang,Queshan,Linying and so on.(3)The style area of sweet aroma and burnt-sweetness aroma of western Henan:Full flavor was from less strong to strong,sweet aroma was more outstanding than burnt-sweetness aroma.The motion state of aroma was less over?ow with heaviness.The concentration of smoking was from medium to less strong and impact was lesslargish.It mainly included western regions of Henan,and the representative sample plots included Lingbao,Luoning,Xixia,Jiyuan and so on.2?The results of the evaluation of the quality of tobacco leaves from different style areas as follows:(1)The style areas of burnt aroma and burnt-sweetness aroma of eastern-Henan:Quality of appearances: the color of tobacco leaves was orange and the degree of maturity was mature,the structure of leaves was from slightly loose to loose,the identity was from less thin to moderate,oily cent was from little to much,and chroma was medium.Physical properties: the mass of leaves was suitable,resilience was moderate,filling value was moderate,thickness was suitable,stalk proportion was high,and equilibrium moisture content of tobacco leaves was less suitable.Sensory quality: aroma quality was less good,aroma quantity was less much and diffusiveness was less good.Immature odor,green odor,scorched odor and ligneous odor were little,the smooth of smoking was less smooth,the smoking was soft and less mellow,with little irritation,a little dryness and comfortable aftertaste.The outstanding chemical compositions were citric acid,?-pentanone acid,6-methyl-5-hepten-2-ol,tabanone 3,2-acetylfuran and furfuryl alcohol in the three kinds of style areas.(2)The balance style areas of burnt-sweetness aroma and burnt aroma of central and southern Henan:Quality of appearances: the color of tobacco leaves was orange and the degree of maturity was mature,the structure was loose,identity was from less thin to moderate,oily cent was from slight to much,and chroma was medium.Physical properties: the leaf mass,resilience,filling value,thickness,stalk proportion and equilibrium moisture content of tobacco leaves were suitable.Sensory quality: aroma quality was good,and aroma quantity was less much,diffusiveness was less good.Immature odor,green odor,scorched odor and ligneous odor were little.The smoking was less smoothy,less soft,and less mellow,and with little irritation,little dryness and comfortable aftertaste.The outstanding chemical compositions were oxalic acid,malonic acid,?-pentanone acid,heptadecanoic acid,linoleic acid,starch,total nitrogen,nicotine,potassium,linalool,6-methyl-5-heptene-2-ol,?-damascenone,coffee furanone and solanone in the three kinds of style areas.(3)The style areas of sweet aroma and burnt-sweetness aroma of western Henan:Quality of appearances: the color of tobacco leaves was orange and the degree of maturity was mature,the structure was slightly loose,identity was from less thin to moderate,oily cent was from little to much,and chroma was medium.Physical properties: the leaf mass,resilience and filling value were moderate,the thickness was less thick,stalk proportion and equilibrium moisture content were less largish.Sensory quality: aroma quality was less good,aroma quantity was less much and diffusiveness was less good.Immature odor,green odor,scorched odor and igneous odor were little.The smoking was less smooth,less soft,and less mellow and with little irritation,little dryness and less comfortable aftertaste.The outstanding chemical compositions were rutin,chlorogenic acid,scopoletin,citric acid,oleic acid,total sugar,reducing sugar,isophorone,2-acetylpyrrole,5-methyl-2-furaldehyde,2,6-nonadienal and ?-Cyclocitral in the three kinds of style areas.3?The results of relationship between evaluation indexes of tobacco style and chemical components as follows:The chemical compositions of linalool,6-methyl-5-heptene-2-ol and furfuryl alcohol had positive effect on hay aroma.But total sugar had a negative effect on hay aroma.The order of contribution value on hay aroma was 6-methyl-5-heptene-2-ol,furfuryl alcohol,linalool,total sugar,potassium decreased.With the increase of the content of 6-methyl-5-heptene-2-ol,furfuryl alcohol,linalool and potassium,scale value of hay aroma increased.The chemical compositions of reducing sugar,?-damascenone and solanone had positive effects on burnt-sweet aroma.But nicotine had negative effect on burnt-sweet aroma.According to the contribution value to burnt-sweet aroma,total sugar,reducing sugar,nicotine,?-damascenone and solanone increased in the order.With the increase of the content of total sugar,reducing sugar,?-damascenone and solanone,scale value of scorch sweet aroma increased.Isophorone and solanone had positive effects on burnt aroma.According to the contribution value on burnt aroma,total sugar,sugar-nicotine ratio,solanone and isophorone increased in the order.With the increase of their contents,scale value of burnt aroma increased.Total sugar,total nitrogen,sugar-nicotine ratio and tabanone 3had great effects to sweet aroma.According to the contribution value on the sweet aroma,total sugar,sugar-nicotine ratio,total nitrogen and tabanone 3 increased in the order.With the increase of their contents,scale value of sweet aroma increased.Sugar-nicotine ratio,5-methyl-2-furaldehyde and 2,6-nonadienal had a positive effects on nutty aroma.According to the contribution value on the nutty aroma,totalnitrogen,5-methyl-2-furaldehyde,sugar-nicotine ratio and 2,6-nonadienal increased in order.With the increase of their contents,scale value of nutty aroma increased.Nicotine,total nitrogen and sugar-nicotine ratio had great effects on the state of the aroma,the concentration of smoking and impact.But total sugar and reducing sugar had negative effect on them.With the increase of the contents of nicotine,total nitrogen and sugar-nicotine ratio,scale values of the aroma state,the concentration of smoking and impact increased.
