In this paper, the fingerprint analysis of Tobacco Flavor is researched by use of GC,HPLC and electronic nose.At the same time, this article proposed a process model of multivariate quality control and diagnose based on the principal component analysis, and the method of multivariate quality control played an important part in the flavor quality control. The Tobacco flavor samples are provided by China Tobacco Zhejiang Industrial CO.,LTD.The main work and results were as follows.1.A simple and rapid gas chromatography analysis method was established for developing chromatographic fingerprint of tobacco flavor. The relative standard deviations(RSDs)of retention time(RT)and peak area of each component were less than 0.1%and 5%,respectively.The fingerprint can help to distinguish the different kinds of tobacco flavors, and can also be used for quality control of tobacco flavor.2.Tobacco flavor samples were tested by using electronic nose. Then, the acquired data were analyzed by using principal component analysis(PCA)and discriminant factor analysis(DFA).And this article proposed a process model of multivariate quality control and diagnose based on the principal component analysis. The results indicated:nine kinds of tobacco flavor samples were marked differences between them using electronic nose;and the method of multivariate quality control played an important part in the flavor quality control.3.The Volatile,semi-volatile components were analyzed by gas chromatographic, and the Non-volatile components were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. While the Electronic nose could detect all kinds of samples.4.The fingerprint of Tobacco Flavor established by GC or HPLC was reflected the content and changes of the aroma constituents in the sample. And the Electronic nose could establish the fingerprint and reflect the trends of the odor quality.
