The trend of orebody appears obviously thinning since the 2495 level of Dading Mountain Mine. Due to sublevel caving method under the condition of thin orebody is difficult to obtaining satisfactory recovery effect, the short-hole shrinkage method is used in the thin orebody. But at present, there are still some prominent problems in the production process of the short-hole shrinkage method.This paper deeply analyzed the main problems of the short-hole Shrinkage Method in the Dading Mountain Mine. Combined with the existence of ore body and physical model ore drawing experiments,solving measures were made for the problems of stope bottom structure,mining and haulage in slices of iron ore and iron ore containing tin,stope ventilation and goaf disposal.For the complicated application technology, low efficiency and high loss of the funnel sill structure, the technology replacing the funnel sill structure with trench bottom structure was put forward. The trench bottom structure is simple in structure and construction, which can reduce the amount of the mining cut and improve the efficiency.Combined with the existence of ore body, this paper proposed a variant program of shrinkage method, which cut off one ventilation shafts of the stope into two parts, a part for ore pass, a part for ventilation and pedestrian passages, the iron ore containing tin was scraped out through the ore pass, the iron ore was left in the stope temporarily. The program made mining and haulage in slices of iron ore containing tin become a reality, reduced the ore loss and dilution, and recovered tin successfully.Meanwhile, mining and cutting engineering, such as ventilation shaft,connection roadway were perfected, with that the problems of stope ventilation and arc goaf can be solved effectively.The physical model ore-drawing experiments indicate that the ore recovery index of ore drawing under the overlaying rock after caving goaf was the worst. Compared to the ore recovery index of subleveldrawing under the overlaying rock after caving goaf, in the stope of the same height, the recovery rate was near, but dilution rate was higher.The ore recovery index of caving goaf after large ore drawing was the best. For ore economic indicators, the best goaf processing method of Dading Mountain Mine is caving goaf after large ore drawing.According to the study, solving measures were made for the main problems of the short-hole shrinkage method in the Dading Mountain Mine, which is a significant guidance for the Dading Mountain Mine and the similar mines.
