After decades of rapid development,the output of China’s iron and steel industry has steadily occupied the first place in the world,however,it also has caused a large sum of energy consumption and serious environmental pollution,especially in recent five years,the iron and steel industry has been facing many problems: energy-saving policy,cost of raw material,imbalance between supply and demand,etc.which made the development of iron and steel industry into the trough.Therefore,in the circumstances of excess capacity,falling prices and weak demand,how to save energy,lower consumption and reduce the production costs have become one of the urgent problems.Based on the situation,this paper introduces the development and application of input-output analysis method from the point of view of the system’s energy conservation theory and method,and improves the input-output table structure according to the characteristics of steel production process,thus making it more applicable,in addition,the related software is developed.This research takes the data from 2010 to 2013 of WISCO(Qingshan district)as the object.Using multistage input-output analysis,e-p method and the exponential smoothing prediction method,and integrating B/S structure with MySQL database,we developed the energy analysis and decision-making software,which can calculate process energy consumption,products emergy,production,unit energy consumption predictions and energy consumption of per ton steel.In order to draw conclusion from WISCO’s energy-saving experiences,analyse energy-saving potential and provide reference to decision-making of energy policy for energy managers,the process energy consumption,products emergy and energy consumption of per ton steel are discussed according to the calculation results.The results shows: During the four years,the energy-saving effect of the power conversion system is the most significant;the energy consumption of coking process rose,5#/6# coke oven had a higher energy consumption compared with others,2#/3# sintering machine was less efficient in waste heat recovery,and the consumption of sinter increased in iron-making process;steel-making system had a high iron-steel ratio;energy-saving in steel rolling process should focus on improving the yield and circulating water utilization ratio,and the product-steel ratio should be increased in cold rolling and silicon steel process for the economic benefits.The software can be initialized,so it is universal to traditional iron and steel enterprises to a certain degree.the model and development method used in the system can also provide reference to other industries for developing energy model.
