At present,the cumulative radon measurement of activated carbon has been widely used in low-emission gas exploration.Over the years,people have paid much attention to the problem of adsorbing radon behavior and adsorption time correction of activated carbon,and improving the accuracy of radon in activated carbon is an urgent problem to be solved.This article is through laboratory experiments,under the condition of constant radon source:Investigating the effects of the particle size,quality and the concentration of radon on the adsorption of radon on activated carbon.The dynamic adsorption characteristics of radon on activated carbon were studied from the apparent adsorption characteristics and adsorption equilibrium.The decay process of radon was analyzed in view of the decay characteristics of radon and its progeny,and the experiment on the adsorption of radon on a small thickness activated carbon bed was studied.The diffusion of radon in activated carbon.The experimental results show:?1?That the adsorption kinetic model can explain the adsorption behavior of activated carbon to radon.The smaller the particle size,the higher the quality and the concentration of radon source,the stronger the adsorption performance of activated carbon;The adsorption of activated carbon to radon mainly depends on the physical adsorption of micropores.Bangham and quasi-primary adsorption kinetics can well explain and predict the adsorption process of activated carbon on radon.The adsorption equilibrium of radon on the surface of activated carbon is predicted by isothermal adsorption model.?2?During the stationary period,the total amount of gamma ray in the carbon bottle showed a trend of oscillation,and the decay of radon outside the stationary phase accords with the law of theoretical decay.?3?The transport mode of radon in the small thickness coconut shell activated carbon accords with the diffusion theory.The diffusion coefficient of radon in small thickness coconut shell activated carbon is 2.21×10-5cm2/s,which is far less than the diffusion coefficient of radon in the air?0.1cm2/s?.Research on activated carbon adsorption dynamics behavior,the adsorption equilibrium of radon and radon diffusion in activated carbon and the radon decay correction to the research on dynamic adsorption characteristics and activated carbon adsorption radon radon measurement work in the selection of adsorbent,the correction work has important theoretical guiding significance and application value.
