Radon method is widely used to find uranium deposits, however, due to the presence of the mudstone layers over the uranium deposit of interlayered oxidation zone type, the method has been questioned in the application effect of sandstone type uranium deposits.In recent years, the radon method was gradually applied in sandstone uranium deposit prospecting, and achieved certain results, but there are some problems in the methods of control and interpretation of factors, and need to be addressed further study.Basis on the full collecting and reviewing the regional geological data in the southern margin of Yili Basin,the author carried out prospecting work of activated charcoal radon measurement in 514 mines(the known mine) of the southern margin of Yili Basin, and get a lot of radon concentration data. Pursuant to discuss the noise impact of the method of radon concentration anomalies in detail. The method of wavelet analysis is applied to filter the noise of radon concentration data for the first time, and based on the platform of MATLAB software, try to study the denoising method of one dimensional wavelet analysis through experiment. and get the parameters of optimal wavelet basea, decomposition scales and threshold processing. Compared the one dimensional wavelet analysis denoising method with the traditional denoising methods, the results showed that,the processing effect of wavelet analysis method was better than other traditional denoising methods. In the plane anomaly of radon concentration denoising, introduced wavelet analysis and achieved good results.In this paper, using the methods of Trend surface analysis, Residual anomalies,Sub-area median contrast filtering, Data resampling and Tired frequency measured radon anomalies filtering to filter the actually measured anomalies of radon concentration. On the basis of the known borehole data and uranium deposits of the 514 mining area,comparative analyzed the obtained radon concentration which were processed by various filtering. The results showed that the anomalies of radon concentration after denoisingcorrespond to the better with the known uranium sites or uranium favorable conditions for mineralization, and the vast majority of the known uranium mine sites are located in the transition zone of the radon concentration anomalies. The conclusion can be used as marks of prospecting uranium mining area in southern margin of Yili basin of China or other similar areas,and on the basis of radon concentration anomaly delineated the uranium metallogenic area.In this paper, based on the project of "expanding and evaluation technology research of uranium resources base", carried out exploration of uranium deposits of active carbon radon measurement in the southern margin of the Yili basin. In order to improve the effect of active carbon radon in uranium deposit prospecting, in the interpretation of anomaly of radon concentration, adhered to the principles of interpretation from the known to the unknown, taking the summarize experiences and the relationship between uranium mineralization favorable zone and the anomaly of radon concentration in the known mine(514 mine) as marks to apply to prospect the interpretation of the unknown area, it will have a good prospecting effect.
