On the basis of development of "Digital Maritime" proposed by Maritime Safety Administration of Ministray of Transport of the People's Republic of China,Tianjin Hydrographic Center implements maritime surveying and mapping informatization and builds framework of maritime surveying and mapping products and services base on maritime geospatial information.In order to improve the utilization of CARIS HPD data,improve the efficiency and quality of nautical chart production,provide internal and external data query service through the marine surveying and mapping services platform,Tianjin Hydrographic Center will develop thematic databases of sounding,obstruction,navigation,ENC product,paper chart product,etc.The purpose of this is to solve the bottleneck problem of restricting the development of maritime surveying and mapping.Based on the above situation,this paper mainly completed the following aspects of work.(1)The S-57 and S-52 Standards is dissected.S-57 theoretical data model and data structure,S-52 presentation library and display settings are analyzed.(2)This paper analyzes the data storage of CARIS HPD,include HPD source data,ENC product data,paper chart data.We understood how the data is organized,table structure,logical relationships between tables,and so on.(3)New string type of S-57 data storage is designed.On this foundation,thematic databases of HPD source data,ENC product data,paper chart data are built to storage three type data extracted from HPD database.(4)HPD data parsing engines is devised.HPD function modules for HPD thematic databases maintenance is realized base on these engines.These modules are programmed as plugins of OpenJUMP,one of open source GIS written in Java.Meanwhile,feature representation is implemented by S-52 Dynamic symbolization.
