With the development of remote sensing technology level, the quantity of remote sensing data acquired is daily increasing. Therefore, how to manage and use massive geography remote sensing data efficiently which would serve society better is attracting more and more attention presently. In this paper, on the basis of studying on spatial database engine used presently, and the discussion on the feasibility of managing and storing massive geography remote sensing data efficiently based on its massive, complex and dynamic characteristics, a web oriented real-time massive geography remote sensing data publication system is realized.At first, a massive geography remote sensing image database is designed, including the models of both logical structure and physical storage. Secondly, in the aspect of engine architecture and storage model, an engine called massive geography remote sensing image spatial data engine (GRSISDE) is improved according to the experience and technology of GIS lab of Zhejiang University. Finally, a real-time massive geography remote sensing data publication system based on GRSISDE is designed and realized which could meet the demand of managing and using massive geography remote sensing data efficiently.The system is running based on ocean remote sensing data, which shows the system could release massive geography remote sensing data real-time, could manage and use massive geography remote sensing data efficiently, and will make sense to the storage, management, publication of massive geography remote sensing data in the future.
