Sea chart is a kind of map,which is especially important for the planning of coastal areas.With the economic development of the coast of China,people gradually realize the important role of coastal topographic mapping in monitoring beach transformation,monitoring coastal geomorphic changes,studying natural processes of coastal zones and predicting the change of coastline.This paper investigates integration of acquisition and editing based on satellite image.The image pyramid,double memory buffering technique and multithread are used for displaying remote sensing image and rendering of data rapidly.As for the low efficiency and the difficulty of data transformation on 3D data collection and editing when using the traditional DLG,this paper proposes a solution based on integration of acquisition and editing technique to realize the means of integration of acquisition.By using 3D stereo model processing data,stereo mapping using CCD image,data organization and management,map exporting combining to an integrated function,then DLG production efficiency is improved.Finally,introduced the basic techniques on the reversion of sea chart,and the main algorithms for the reversion of sea chart,the implementation of feature editing,and the sea chart database structure are designed and achieved.To evaluate the effectiveness of rapid viewing of the remote sensing image,experiments were performed based on the ZY-3 satellite image.Based on the key technologies of integration of acquisition and editing,a digital stereo mapping software system for experiment with functions such as 3D acquisition,3D editing,sea chart symbol library and map exporting is integrated,and epipolar images are generated using the RPC parameters,then created 3D stereo model for mapping,edited residents area,road,water systems,and some land objects,then verified the accuracy of the 3D acquisition and editing.Finally,we created a DLG and a sea chart.This experimental results indicate that the process and the software developed in this paper can realize the 1:500000 sea chart production and the revision of the 1:25000 sea chart.
