With the development of space technology, space photogrammetry is becoming a direction of photogrammetry. It is a important technology that map is surveyed and revised based on single satellite remote image. The major works implemented in this paper are presented as follows:(1) The paper has done much work in inner orientation and space resection of frame camera image and linear array scanner image. Automatic inner orientation of frame camera imagery is realized by combining several matching algorithms. Two methods, the generalized ridge estimate and the primary component estimate, are presented to compute the exterior orientation elements of linear array scanner image. The formulas of educing the parameters of these estimates are provided. Experiments evince two methods are very simple, steady and effective .The first method is particularly better.(2) The gross error detection scheme is introduced into the computation of exterior elements. The robust generalized ridge estimate is proposed to detect gross error and compute exterior elements. Experiments prove this method is very advantageous. Furthermore, the paper researches into the adjustment model of minimizing the sum of absolute residuals in gross error detection during the resection of satellite linear array scanner image.(3) Map is surveyed and revised using frame camera image and linear array scan image. The major contents are presented as follows:-a. Map is surveyed using the single satellite remote sensing image.b. Map is revised based on the single satellite remote sensing image.c. Digital orthophoto map is produced using satellite linear array scanner image.d. Map is revised based on an digital orthophoto map.e. Geomorphy is surveyed and revised in the stereoscopic enviroment.(4) The method of using control points in our own zone to mapping our border is researched in the end.The system has been established based on the upper thoughts. It has been applied in some military mapping projects to revise maps.
