Liquidambar formosana is potential species in afforestation and also one of first choice of species in adjustment of plant structure,which has attracted much attention in production and research,because of its function on maintenance of soil fertility,good ecological and economic benefits.However,a continual population of Liquidambar formosana in China is almost not seen in different forests due to the long-term human activities and its difficult growth update under itself canopy.Therefore,the study of the relationship between Liquidambar formosana population distribution and biological and environmental factors has a practical significance for population recovery.In this research,Liquidambar formosana from different habitats around Baihuahu,field survey on Liquidambar formosana is conducted using sample method,the relationship between the environmental factors and its distribution in 3sample plots was studied by principal component and variance analysis,the relationship between the number of species and 3 sample plots were analyzed by Pearson method,the growth adaption to Liquidambar formosana were evaluated through compared the characteristics of the quantity and structure of population in different habitats.The results show that:(1)At different locations,Liquidambar formosana population present aggregated distribution,but the aggregation intensity was different.At the same place in different slope positions,Liquidambar formosana population showed aggregated distribution,but the aggregation intensity was different;At the different place in the same slope and different place in different slope positions,Liquidambar formosana population distribution of different types of aggregation intensity were different.In different places of the slopes,Liquidambar formosana population present aggregated distribution,but the degree of aggregation on the sunny and semi sunny slope was more big than semi shady slope.At different locations with the increase of slope,Liquidambar formosana was aggregation distribution,and the aggregation degree was(2)increased gradually;when the slope was over steep slope,the aggregation degree of Liquidambar formosana was decreased,and the aggregate distribution transition to random distribution.(3)In the development of population in different locations of Liquidambar formosana,young individual quantity was the most and the more close to the young age class,the population distribution was more intense aggregation;with the increase of age,the population enters middle age period and aging period and population aggregation degree decreased and tended to be randomly distributed.(4)From the slope position,whether it was at the top of the mountain,mountain or mountain,with the increase of population age of Liquidambar formosana,Liquidambar formosana population aggregation degree decreased and the aggregate distribution transition to random distribution.From the aspect of view,whether it was in the sunny slope,semi sunny slope,shady slope and semi shady slope,with the increase of population age of Liquidambar formosana,Liquidambar formosana population aggregation degree decreased gradually,and the aggregated distribution transition to random distribution,but on the whole,the degree of aggregation on the sunny and semi sunny slope was more big than shady slope and semi shady slope.From the slope,whether in flat slope,slope,slope,steep slope,steep slope or dangerous slope,with the increase of population age of Liquidambar formosana,population aggregation degree decreased gradually,and the aggregated distribution transition to random distribution;But the same slope,the more close to the young stage,the greater the degree of aggregation of Liquidambar formosana.(4)Among factors effecting the distribution pattern of Liquidambar formosana,the largest contribution to the first principal component was the slope position,the second principal component was soil moisture,the third principal component was soil total phosphorus;but in smaller scale,for different locations,habitat factors of the principal components was large different;The altitude,slope,soil moisture,soil total nitrogen,soil total phosphorus and soil total potassium in different habitats,were analyzed by variance analysis,in addition to soil total phosphorus had no significant difference,the other were significantly different.In different sample plots,relationship of Liquidambar formosana community showed different correlation,but the positive association of species if less than that of the negative correlation.(5)By analysis of distribution pattern of Liquidambar formosana in different slope,aspect and grade,as well as the quantity and structure of different habitats of Liquidambar formosana populations,the results showed that in various habitats of Liquidambar formosana,the species grow as Shi Cao population had the highest adaptability.
