Forest farming is an important pattern of the Underforest economy,and Underforest hicken raising is a traditional practice in China.The Underforest chicken raising could well combine forestry and farming,producing well ecological,economic and social benefits.However,studies on the effects of Underforest chicken raising on soil physicochemical properties,especially its comprehensive soil fertility evaluation,are not yet well-known.Therefore,the present study establishes an experimental sample plot of Underforest chicken raising in Jingde County,Anhui Province,China,and studies the effect of Underforest chicken raising(SC)on the soil physicochemical properties of Liquidambar formosana forest using Liquidambar formosana pure forest(S)as a control.The comprehensive fertility evaluation nutrients by establishing a minimum data set(MDS).Finally,providing data and theoretical support for balancing the economic development of local farmers and the stability of the forest soil ecosystem and the scientific basis for the development of forest farming in China.The specific findings are as follows:(1)Compared with Liquidambar formosana pure forest(S),in 0-20 cm soil layer,the nderforest chicken raising(SC)significantly increased(P<0.05)soil EC and DOC contents;The contents of soil pH,Ca,Mg,TP,MBC and MBN were significantly decreased(P<0.05);However,there were no significant changes in soil SOC,TN,NH4+-N,NO3--N,SWC,K and DON.In 20-40 cm soil layer,the Underforest chicken raising(SC)significantly increased(P<0.05)soil EC,NO3--N and DOC;Soil pH,SOC,TN and Mg decreased significantly(P<0.05),while soil K,NH4+-N,CA,TP,DON,MBC and MBN did not change significantly.(2)In both 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm soil layers,there was no significant difference in soil omprehensive fertility index between the Underforest chicken raising(SC)and Liquidambar formosana pure forest(S).The comprehensive soil fertility index of the 0-20cm soil layer was significantly higher than that of the 20-40 cm soil layer(p<0.05)in the Underforest chicken raising(SC)and Liquidambar formosana pure forest(S).
