Syrphidae is a large family of Diptera. About 230 genera and 6000 species are known in the world up to now. As an abundance of species and economic both larvae and adults, Syrphidae has been a very important group in the study of systematics.Having examined 1350 specimens collected from Heilongjiang Province, 71species were identified, which attributed to 40 genera, 16 tribes, 2 subfamilies.Among these species 3 species are new to science: Ceriana maculate sp. nov., Spilomyia nigroscutella sp. nov., Temnostoma curvotibia sp. nov., 1 genus is recored to China as the first time: Sericomyia Meigen, 1803.3 species are recorded to palaerctic region as the first time: Asarkina porcina (Coquillett), Callicera aenea (Fabricius). 4 species are recorded to China as the first time: They are all listed as followes: Platycheirus aeratus Coquillet, Sphegina clunipes (Fallen), Sericomyia dux (Stackeberg), Sericomyia japonica Shiraki.29 species of hoverflies had been recorded from Heilongjiang Province. Now the investigation increased species number of hoverflies of Heilongjiang Province to 71 species.There were 71species recorded from Heilongjiang Province. Among thesespecies there were 15 palaerctic species that was 21.1% of total, 2 oriental species that was 2.8 % of total, 44 species distributing in both the palaerctic and the oriental region that was 61.9 % of total, 7 species distributing in wide regions that was 9.8 % of total, 3 endemic species that was 4.4 % of total.
