These days,with the accelerated pace of construction of man-made island,research on the man-made island increased significantly,in which the revetment project is especially important to the security of man-made island.There is no national code for the revetment elevation of man-made island in our country.Therefore,this paper aimed at the method of the revetment elevation and the overtopping.Relying on the specific project,we did some research on the three kinds of revetment elevation:design wave height,wave run-up and overtopping control.Through comparative analysis,the applicable wave run-up,overtopping formula is recommended in the project sea.Through the typical section of revetment physical model tests,we analysed the overtopping and stability of protection stones on the surface and bottom.Test results shows that the overtopping control method of revetment elevation is more reasonable.We simulated the process of wave running over the revetment by the CFD software—flow3D,and explored the feasibility that the software simulates the wave running over the slope revetment with the wave wall,and did some preliminary study on the relationship between the anti-L wave wall parameters and the overtopping.Ultimately referring to the results of the theoretical calculations,physical model tests and numerical simulation,the slope revetment were optimized,that may provide a reference for engineering design in the future.The results also show that the revetment elevation determined by the method of overtopping control is economically feasible.
