Study On The Flora Of The Rare Plants In Ningbo

Ningbo,located in the southeast coast of China,which belongs to north subtropical monsoon climate zone,is moderate and humid with rich water and plant resources.Taking the rare plants as the research object and Ningbo as the research scope,this paper analyzed the floristic geography of the rare plants in Ningbo adopting the research method of floristic geography based on field investigation,specimen collection and identification and references.The paper will provide a reference for the protection and exploitation of rare plants in Ningbo by analyzing composition,geographical elements,endemism,features of geographical distribution,similarities with neighboring florae and conservation status of the rare plants in Ningbo.The main results were as follows.1.There were 219 species(including 15 varietas,3 subspecies and 2 forma)of rare plants,belonging to 176 genera,83 families in Ningbo,including 13 species of pteridophyte,belonging to 13 genera,12 families;4 species of gymnosperm,belonging to 4 genera,3 families;202 species of angiosperm,belonging to 159 genera,68 families.The life form diversity of the rare plants in Ningbo was abundant.The herbage had a high percentage,then the arbor,the shrub and the liana.2.The geographical elements of the flora were complex.The tropical elements were dominant in the geographical elements,added in some temperate elements in terms of the distribution types of families and genera.And it showed that the flora was ancient,there were many relict plants.3.There were 94 endemic species of China in the rare plants of Ningbo,accounted for 42.92%,the endemism was obvious.There were many conservative plants in Ningbo,including 23 species of the national key protected wild plants,38 species of the key protected wild plants of Zhejiang Province.4.It was unbalanced about the distribution of the rare plants among geographical units of Ningbo.There were the most species in Ninghai,followed by Xiangshan,Yinzhou,Fenghua,Yuyao,Beilun,Cixi,Zhenhai,Jiangbei and downtown.There were 79.00% of the rare plants distributed at an altitude below 600 m.5.The relationships were close between the flora of the rare plants in Ningbo and neighboring florae,there were many common species.Compared with the florae of Tiantai Mountain and Tianmu Mountain,the flora of the rare plants in Ningbo has more littoral plants.Compared with the florae of Taiwan and Japan,there were many geographical substitute species.6.There were 87.21% of species were in the state of threatened.Some areas with complex habitat,good vegetation need urgent protection.The key areas where most of the rare plants distributed were as follows: Zhedong Grand Canyon and Chashan in Ninghai,Jiushan Islands in Xiangshan,Siming Forest Farm,Wulongtan Scenic Area in Yinzhou.Micro-regions also need protection,such as Songlanshan Scenic Area,Hua'ao Island,Beiyushan Island,Tongtou Island,Wushan Grottoes in Ninghai,the Dalu Village in Yinzhou,Qianzhangyan Scenic Area in Fenghua,Fuquan Mountain and Ruiyansi Forest Farm in Beilun,Dapengshan Scenic Area in Cixi,and so on.
