China is one of the countries which most suffering from geological hazards in the world, geological hazards seriously threaten people’s lives and property, seriously hampered the development of economy and society. With the progressing of urbanization, cities are expanding to the surrounding countryside, the threat of geological hazards to the people is growing. In order to troubleshoot and manage geological hazards, a lot of field geological hazards investigations are required. This paper considered the actually requires of geological hazards investigation and the function modules of smart phone, designed and developed a geological hazards informationized investigation software based on Android.At the first, this paper analyzed and summarized the content and process of investigation of different types of geological hazards, divided the process of geological hazards investigation into four steps: background data collection, field investigation of geological hazards, indoor data compilation, and informational management of geological hazards. Analyzed the needs of informationized investigation during the geological hazard investigation, thought that using smartphones to conduct geological hazards informationized investigation is feasible.Then, this paper analyzed the function and process of geological hazards informationized investigation software. The author thought three-tier architecture could meet the need of this software, designed the architecture and database of mobile terminal and Web terminal separately. This paper introduced the base technology to realize geological hazards informationized investigation, such as digital map technique, sensor technology, database technology, etc. Using Android as the developing and running platform of mobile terminal, ASP.NET as developing and running platform of Web terminal, C# as the development language for both mobile and Web terminal.After the program development of mobile and Web terminal, achieved the informatization of geological hazards investigation and management, including use the GPS module and electronic map to location and view the map, take advantage of the built-in sensor to automatically measure the occurrence of rock beddings, use the smart phone computing power for geological hazard stability rapid judgment, take use of the text processing ability and wireless network of smart phone to encrypt and transport geological hazards information data, through ASP dynamic Web pages to achieve a geological hazard information data view and manage.At the last, tested the running of geological hazards informationized investigation software, confirm it can achieve the informationized data collection and management during the geological hazard investigation. This software easy to operate, can improve the efficiency of field geological hazard investigation, using network to transmit data, can reduce workload of data organization, improve the timeliness of geological hazard information.
