With the development of economy and the appearance of land shortage, reclamation works have become a hotspot of coastal city construction, so analyzing the impact caused by reclamation works is very necessary, which can guide marine planning. Mathematical model method is used in this paper to study the influence of reclamation projects in Bohai Sea. Models in this article are calculated by Tianjin University flow and sediment mathematical model for the software with independent intellectual property rights.Study of this paper is made according to the order of "from the sea area in the bay to that outside the bay". Sea area inside the bay includes Bohai Bay, Laizhou Bay and Liaodong Bay, while sea area outside the bay refers to other seas of Bohai Sea except the three bays. The study contents include the changes of tide level and tidal movement in Bohai Sea.It is found that, when the tide capacity from open seas is given, the highest water level of Bohai Bay increase significantly because of reclamation projects. The closer to the bay mouth the areas are, the smaller the difference of tide level is. On the contrary, the farther away from the bay mouth the areas are, the larger the difference of tide level is. The tidal range of Laizhou Bay in 2010 is larger than that in 2004. However, the difference is much less than that of the highest water level in Bohai Bay. It can be considered that the highest water level of Laizhou Bay increase slightly because of reclamation projects. As for Liaodong Bay, reclamation projects make the highest water level increase, especially in the seas near the land.In the study on changes of tidal movement, it is found that the current speed of Bohai Bay and Laizhou Bay increase because of reclamation projects. What is more, the difference increases progressively from the sea area in the bay to that outside the bay. As for Liaodong Bay, which is vast, and changes of the flow rate are more complex than the other two bays. The difference changes gradually from a negative in the sea area inside the bay to a positive in the sea area outside the bay. The current speed increases more in the area which is closer to the Bay mouth and decreases more in the area which is father away from the Bay mouth. The difference of flow direction decreases gradually from the sea area in the bay to that outside the bay. That is to say, the farther away from the bay mouth the areas are, the larger the difference of flow direction is, and the closer to the bay mouth the areas are, the smaller the difference of flow direction is.Finally, in the study on changes of tidal movement in other seas of Bohai Sea except the three bays, it is found that the changes rule of current speed and flow direction not only accord with the condition of the certain tide capacity from open seas, but also echo with analysis result of tidal movement in three bays.
