| Currently the fourth national Chinese medicine resources survey pilot results collected a lot of data, and there is a natural relationship between the outcome of geospatial data and location. In spatial attribute of traditional Chinese medicine resources data as a starting point, combining the advantages of GIS geographic analysis, research and design the geographical toolset of traditional Chinese medicine, designed to excavate the spatial and attribute information of traditional Chinese medicine resources data.On the basis of Science of Chinese Medicinal Material Resources and geographical conditions monitoring theory, analyzed and discussed the technology and content of traditional Chinese medicine survey and traditional Chinese medicine resources Geographical situation monitoring. By analyzing the traditional methods of traditional Chinese medicine resources and comparative advantages of geographic analysis and GIS applications in traditional Chinese medicine resources analysis demonstrates the feasibility of geographic information technologies in traditional Chinese medicine resources data analysis and rationality, it summarizes the meaning and value of the application of GIS technology and geographic analysis methods. Based on the above theory and methods, the main contents are summarized as follows:(1) The systematic elaborate of geographical conditions monitoring technology theory and method, compared to the traditional census methods technology of Chinese medicine resources and geographic conditions monitoring, as put forward the concept of geographical conditions monitoring of traditional Chinese medicine resources. Combined with Chinese resource data types and characteristics, analyzes the GIS and spatial analysis technique in traditional Chinese medicine resources analysis revealed the advantages and significance.(2) For the overall design of geographic toolset, it includes indicator system and method rules, building of geographic analysis model, and finally integrates the geography tools.
