Island Reef is an important base of marine development and "Island Bridge" of trend offshore and Ocean. The basic island geographic space information is precisely the important basis of ocean management, economic development and coastal security. Due to the historical reasons and technical limitations, our island precise basic geographic information is still blank. Offshore reefs mapping and geographic environment monitoring is a useful and important means of safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Flexibility, low cost small light UAV can acquire image efficiently, the advantage in offshore reefs surveying and mapping is obvious.The attractive prospect and obvious advantages of POS system attracted dramatic attention from many domestic and foreign companies, research institutes and scholars. According to the POS system, they carried out a series of research and experiments, and achieved good result. But research and testing based on small light UAV and small POS integration is still blank, the small POS system play its due role in the field of low altitude remote sensing mapping, provide reliable technical support for China's offshore reefs mapping, technology research and test work is urgently needed.According to the blank situation of precise basic geographic information of our country's sea reef, developed a photogrammetry system integration installation, testing supported by small light UAV MEMS POS and verified the South China Sea reefs map in 1:2000, the results show that when using the photogrammetry system integration installation testing supported by small light UAV MEMS POS, no control point is difficult to reach the requirement of high precision of mapping now, but can obviously to improve the mapping accuracy when adding a small amount of control points. On the basis, rational propose is given for photogrammetry technology supported by light UAV MEMS POS in the application of far sea reef high precision mapping.
