SAFETYBASE Co. Itd. is a Company which has been engaging in network security business for about two years. Now on one hand it is facing fierce competition from domestic providers as well as overseas NSB, on the other hand it is enjoying the encouraging policy stipulated by the country in this field. Its future is with both opportunities and challenges; therefore it is impediment to define its development strategy.Basically, this article consists of five parts:The first part introduces the history and background information of SAFETYBASE Co.Ltd. with some introduction of its missions and strategic objectives too.The second part analyzes its external environment, including Chinese macro environment, global and china NSB industry environment, NSB business and technology development trend. And then it focuses on the analysis of NBS competitive status with respects to five competition driving forces defined by Michael.Porter. The related threats and opportunities which SAFETYBASE faces have been discussed by utilizing EFE matrix.Then in the third part relevant strengths and weakness of SAFETYBASE are analyzed specifically in terms of its resources and capacities, in which IFE matrix is used to summarize its strengths and weakness.Resulting from the analysis output of EFE and IFE respectively, in the fourth part SWOT analysis tool is used to define the situations, furthermore by using QSPM method a proper strategy is determined based on the consideration of its strengths on resources and capabilities and the opportunities and threats. Overall competitive strategy is given in this part as well under the guidance of Michael Porter’s competitive theory. SAFETYBASE Company should expand their business in production side in the years to come.
