Along with the rapid development of economy and technology, if the enterprises want to achieve superiority in the competition, the role of talent is particularly evident. As a main incentive factor, salary plays the important roles in attracting and retaining talents, mobilizing their enthusiasm and creativity. Founded in 2002, XD company has kept a foothold in the communication industry for more than a decade and provided the corporate clients and government departments with a full range of information solutions based on the four basic software platforms of business intelligence analysis, business and operation support, mobile Internet application and network management, and combined with the emerging technologies and industry commercial terminals. Until now, XD company has developed into a national planning key software enterprise and high-tech enterprise, but in the background of rapid development and constantly expanding of staff scale, the original salary system simple based post has been unfit for the needs of company’s rapid development, which resulted in a number of problems, staff’s career development hits a brick wall, working enthusiasm is not high, team creativity is constrained, and job performance is affected. This topic aims at the problems appeared in XD company to design a salary system based on abilities, and XD company as a case, conduct to optimize and improve the original salary system in order to solve the existing personnel issues, and help the company to achieve the development goals. Moreover, I hope that the design method and train of thought can bear certain implicational and referential significance in the design of ability salary to the similar enterprises who also have urgent needs to construct salary system based on ability.
