It is the talent that has been an indispensable resource for the survival and development of enterprises in the 21 st century the era featuring on knowledge explosion and the rapid development of global economy and technology. While in domestic automobile production and manufacturing industry, it is Research-and-Development personnel(R & D personnel) with relevant expertise and research-and-development capability who becomes an essential strategic resource for enterprise development. Therefore, the loss of R & D personnel will not only brings direct economic damage to the company which in turn will hinder the improvement of research-and-development capacity of the products, but also dampens the morale of employees as well as their sense of belonging to the enterprise which will not help company’s sound and sustainable development.Taking Company K as an example and on the basis of the relevant theoretical literature of R & D staff turnover, this paper, focusing on the severe loss of R & D personnel in Company K in recent years, analyzes questionnaires completed by hundreds of R & D personnel in Company K and statistics about recent loss of R &D staff provided by department of Human Resources, and explores reasons so as to formulate a series of measures such as a sound remuneration system, a scientific and standardized join and exit procedure with interviews of R & D personnel.On the basis of the current management of Company K, this paper analyzes the status quo of R & D personnel management, fortunately finds out reasons of the drain of R & D personnel in Company K. Hence the targeted measures and effective solutions have been exposed in this paper for the purpose of sustainable development of Company K and in large bring benefit to the operation and management of other companies in automobile production and management industry.
