Study On Development Strategy Of The Professinal Cooperatives Of Herdersmen In Xinyuan Town

Since the reform and opening up, Tibetan areas of Qinghai province has carried out the household contract responsibility system, which greatly mobilized the herdsmen’s production enthusiasm,and traditional meadow stock raising has been developed rapidly. However, with the continuous progress of the development of market economy and production technology,family production mode of herdsmen restricted the efficient and sustainable development of animal husbandry.Meilong Township,Xinyuan Tow n,is a typical Tibetan pastoral village, under the leadership and support of the local government, villagers set up Meilong ecological animal husbandry professional cooperatives by investing sheep,cattle and pasture. It broke the traditional animal husbandry, realized the scale and specialized management and achieved a certain economic and social benefits. Then the Town government guided other livestock villages within the jurisdiction to form the ecological animal husbandry cooperatives.August 2012, Mei Long ecological animal husbandry cooperatives won the honorary title of “National Farmers’ professional cooperatives demonstration community”. Therefore, the operation condition and existing problems of th e Xinyuan town farmers professional cooperatives became representative among the existing herdsma n professional cooperatives in Tibetan areas of Qinghai province.This paper chooses three herdsman professional cooperatives in Xinyuan Town as the object of study,find out the cause of the problem through the analysis of the establishment, operating conditions and existing problems of cooperatives. Finally, it puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the steady development of the professional cooperatives of herdsmen.
