State-owned farm is an essential part of the forestry. Large cultivation of forestry resource have made remarkable achievements in management of large-scale forest resources, their development not only create economic value but also contribute to protection of ecological environment. Inner Mongolia is a large and important province of forestry and ecological construction in China, it has tremendous forest resources and many state-owned farms.In recent years, with the unknown functions of state-owned forest farm, the poor management system and lack of support policy,state-owned farm facing widespread difficulties. With the latest reform of state-owned forest farm issued in 2015, requiring more attention on building ecological civilization system,provide a new direction for the reform and development of state-owned forest farms.The article concentrated on evaluation performance of the state-owned forest farm, by analyzing the relative literature and field research on state-owned forest farm of Inner Mongolia, shows a profound analysis of current situation of state-owned forest farm, including the reform process and operating conditions. Based on relevant theories and collected data, build the evaluation system on performance of Inner Mongolia state-owned forest farm, evaluate the performance level of twelve major cities. The conclusion is that most of the state-owned forest farms operating poorly, the overall development is not balanced and the difference between individual is quite large. The cities which not achieve optimal performance should make an improvement. The last, put forward these suggestions according to the results:included the ecological function in the performance evaluation system, strengthen fiscal and financial support strengthen infrastructure construction accordingly, strengthen the introduction of talent and mining industry chain value-added.
