With the development of tourism industry, tourism institutions around the country have developed rapidly, which help to transport a lot of talent for travel industry. Tour operators are the front-line service providers of tourism industry, who take on the important mission. However the overall quality of tour guides is not high enough, especially those new guide cannot meet the needs and expectation of tourism consumers and industry development.Simulation is a professional management skill course in guide tours curriculum of secondary vocational education. This course is strongly practical and comprehensive.And its main task is to train students in professional practice skills, who will require professional foundation from it for future work in guided tours. But there are some problems which cannot be ignored in the course’s teaching philosophy, teaching mode and teaching content. This will fail to achieve a good teaching objective. In this context, vocational curriculum reform emerged in simulation guides consequently. Curriculum reform is the most important teaching reform. In this paper, the comparative of course texts perform as an entry point of study simulation tour course. It based on a profound understanding of the relationship between vocational curriculum reform and textbook compilation, the research status of simulation course teaching materials and the comparative status.This paper bases on the theories of three kinds of vocational education curriculum theory, which are the subject standard, ability standard and working process of the standard. After studying by literature research method and comparative research method, three sets of teaching materials are selected for studying those three standards. After that, the textbooks were analyzed from table of contents, content knowledge, column design and after-school exercises. By comparison, the directory structure are quite differences of these textbooks. Subject standard is purely theoretical, ability standard is "theory + operation + training, work process standard is" project & task ".The intellectual content of the choice is different: the subject standard is pay attention to the system integrity of knowledge; the ability is oriented to the post training; working process is based on training process and occupation ability. Textbook design is different: the subject standard textbook is designed to explain the words of the tour guide; the ability standard textbook includes chapters, the target knowledge, and be focused on simulation training, training students’ practical skills; the work process based on the tour guide service, consisting of a number of specific tasks, column design more innovative, reflected the great importance to the practical operation. Three types of teaching materials in the design of the exercises are not enough useful, the form is single and be lack of practice exercises. According to the analysis, some suggestions for the new textbooks: the presentation is best to improve the practical operation skills; the content must be scientific and rational, and reflect the characteristics of the industry; the ability is focus on vocational comprehensive ability cultivation.
