Research On The Cultivation Of The Vocational Skills In Tourist Guide Business Curriculum

With the rapid development of tourism, there spawned a high demand for the line of travel service of the guides staff, however, the overall situation of the vocational skills of the present tourism colleges students is not optimistic at all, and these students fall into an awkward situation of unemployment, for they can not meet the needs of the current tourism industry. Through the study of this paper, we are aiming at improving the quality of tourism education, resolving the problem of the lack of talented tourist guide, improving the service standards of tourism industry, and promoting the healthy and steady development of tourism.This research is about the cultivation of the vocational skills of the tourist guides. And it takes the course of "tourist guide business" as a carrier, and takes competency-based educational thought as a theoretical guidance in order to explore issues on how to improve the tour guides skills of students in the business of teaching. Based on the review and analysis of domestic and_foreign relevant literature, this paper tries to sort out the literature review in order to have a complete understanding and acquaintance in this field. On the basis of the combination of a series of materials, this paper takes the multiple intelligences theory as a guide, and through the research methods of interviewing and analyzing the hierarchy process, the author tries to design the system of the cultivation of the vocational skills of the students. It originally points out that the vocational skills of guide consist of four parts:the skill of guiding,explaining,the specific skill and the learning skill,Among which the skill of explaining is the most important.And on the basis of that, the author makes survey of tour business teaching questionnaires and interview outlines to understand and analyze the current situation and reasons of the students'vocational skills. The author also makes use of the SPSS 13.0 software for statistical analysis of the final results, which shows that the entire vocational skill of the tourist students are low, the same is also true in their language skills, guiding skills, professional skills etc. This paper also manages to probe into the problems existing in this area in the aspect of the teachers, the curriculum and the teaching abilities and so on, and finally puts forward the approach and security system of team construction of the teachers, optimizing and integration of the content of the curriculum, reforms in the teaching methods, highlighting the curriculum evaluation system of the vocational skills, and ensuring the establishment of the system of quality training in the vocational skills, etc.
