With the progress of science and technology, the disadvantages of the rapid economic development has emerged, all kinds of environmental problems appear constantly, human living environment is gradually deteriorated. Environmental problems have gradually been valued by governments, and environment-related laws constantly introduced. The atmospheric pollution of the environment is one of the serious environmental problems. The manufacturing enterprises will produce industrial waste gas in the production process, these gas atmosphere will cause irreversible harm. In order to meet national policy to reduce air pollution, manufacturers need to change the traditional mode of economic production and introduce the recovered products into the remanufacturing production planning. Manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid production systems gradually become a trend in today’s manufacturing industry. Manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid production pattern which will replace single production mode has become the mainstream of the manufacturing industry. However, most of the manufacturing sectors has not considered environmental factors, such as carbon emissions which has not been introduced into production planning.Firstly, this paper analyzes the current research to deepen the understanding of the related theories about carbon tax, carbon emissions trading and remanufacturing on the basis of lots of lectures. Secondly, take into account the Emissions Trading Scheme and production capacity of enterprise, a hybrid production optimization model for multi-cycle engine manufacture/remanufacture concerning is built. The Objectives is the minimum production costs after considering the cost and revenue generated from emissions trading. Thirdly, it is proposed an improved discrete, gravitational search algorithm, which brings in mutation operators to increase the diversity of population so that of avoiding premature convergence and local optimum. Finally, this algorithm solves the case of production optimization model under the mechanism of carbon emissions trading to obtain the optimal production program, which provides a practical and reliable basis to enterprise production activities. Examples prove the feasibility and the validity of this algorithm by comparing and analyzing the optimal solutions in the harmony search algorithm and the traditional gravitational search algorithm.
