Flower Auction Logistics Operation Process Optimization

In recent years, with the sustained development of China’s economy and the continuous rising of the living standards, the higher requirement of life quality comes. It is influencing the growing of flower products sales volume. The rapid expansion of flower industry is inseparable from the systematic and efficient logistics operation system. Currently, the service in the flower industry has a relatively low level of logistics, which gradually becomes an obstacle to the development of flower industry. The optimization of logistics operational processes will greatly improve the operational efficiency of flower logistics, reduce operational costs of logistics, promoting the development of flowers’ logistics. That is the significance of studying operational processes of flower logistics.Firstly, this paper introduces the operational status of domestic and foreign flower products and analyzes the processes features and issues of it. Then, the paper takes Kunming International Flower Auction Trading Center Co., Ltd(KIFA)as an example to describe current situation and shortcomings of the logistics operational processes. On the basis of that, the paper adjusts the sequence of rechecking and arrangement. Then the paper sets up auction sorting optimization model which bases on the packaging fixed costs and the loss of value of flowers. Through the model it can be found that certain batches of cargo packaging can reduce the total fixed costs. Finally, the paper uses the Flexsim simulation software to simulate the process of forward and backward of optimization. It can be concluded that optimized the logistics operational processes can be shorten 24 minutes.In conclusion, the optimized model can not only reduces the fixed costs of operational processes, but also shorten the entire time, and improves the utilization efficiency of the staff and equipment. It has great economic and social benefits.
