Research On The Optimization Of AL Company Supplier Management

Supplier management is a significant link in the daily management of any enterprise. As increasingly clear division of social labor, survival and development of enterprise is dependent on the support of its supply chain. Competition among enterprises is gradually transformed into the competition between their supply chains, suppliers as a decisive factor in the supply chain are also more and more importance for enterprises today. Efficient supplier management can not only reduce procurement costs, ensure product quality, decrease supply risk, but also fully utilize and integrate the supplier’s technical ability to accelerate product innovation, enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.With AL engineering company as the research object, this thesis deeply analyzes the present situation of the company’s supplier management, and aims to optimize the supplier management system and management level of this company, so as to guarantee the product quality in the intense competition and improve the responsiveness to win.With reference to a lot of monograph and the present situation of AL Company’s supplier management, this thesis is to discuss the three aspects of supplier management, namely supplier classification and relationship management, new supplier development, and supplier evaluation and selection. In combination of theoretical research and practical work experience, this thesis points out the main problems of AL Company in the above three aspects and the corresponding improvement solution is given. The systematic solution includes:using the four quadrant principle for classification management of purchased goods and relationship management strategy, improving the supplier development system, and supplier selection/evaluation model based on AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. In the end, the thesis makes a brief case study of the expected results after implementation of the improvement solution.
