Research On Rural Food Safety Supervision In Echeng District

Food safety is not only related to the public interest, but also the important issues related to social stability and national image. Along with the rapid development of China’s economy, food safety problem has a rapidly increasing, and the problem of food becomes a social spotlight issue. Therefore, the government must strengthen food safety supervision and improve the effectiveness of food safety supervision, to perform functions of supervision in accordance with the law. However, compared to the urban stringent food regulatory system, rural areas food regulatory system and regulatory approach have lagged behind, and supervisory intensity and effectiveness still need to be improved.This thesis is based on "Food Safety Law" and the theory of responsible government, combing the history and current situation of macro-level food safety supervision and analyzing legal construction of food safety supervision, the current regulatory system and its reform, and the status in rural areas of food safety supervision, pointing out the current problems and difficulties of food safety supervision. This thesis takes Echeng district of Hubei Province as an example, analyzing regulatory system, the current status and problems, performance appraisal of food safety supervision. Combining with the actual situation of Echeng district and analyzing the general problems, this thesis describes following strategies to strengthen food safety:the supervisory mechanism, legal construction, collegial social and team building.
