Innovation becomes more and more necessary choice for enterprises to strengthen their core competitiveness in the fierce market competition environment. Employee innovation, as the basis of enterprise innovation, has become the focus of attention of entrepreneurs and scholars. Leadership, the key factor that leads to the formation of the innovation performance of the employees, have been verified and discussed by a large number of studies.This study is based on the theoretical results of the benevolent leadership style which is one of the paternalistic leadership, and research perspective of the existing literatures on the relationship between leadership and employee innovation performance. Resulting from the impact of employee innovation performance, leadership employee and environment s, this research will construct the benevolent leadership, creative self-efficacy and absorptive capacity, innovation climate and employee innovation performance model, in-depth study of the effect and mechanism of benevolent leadership on the employee’s innovation performance.This study carried out an empirical study on the effect of the benevolent leadership on employee innovation performance and its mechanism through the sample survey of 237 employees from different enterprises in China. Benevolent leadership influence employee innovation performance directly effect and employee creativity self-efficacy and absorptive capacity in this relationship:the mediating effect, and innovation climate of benevolent leadership influence employee innovation performance of regulation, hypothesis testing. The results show that the benevolent leadership style positive and significant effect on the employee innovative performance, creative self-efficacy and absorptive capacity of a significant mediating effect and innovation climate positively regulate benevolent leadership on the employee’s innovation performance impact. This research result provides a good research perspective and theoretical basis for the follow-up study, and also has important reference value for enterprise management practice.
