A Comparative Study Of Manufacturing Export Competitiveness In China,Japan And Korea Based On The Perspective Of Trade In Value Added

China surpassed the United States as the world biggest trade country in 2013, the rapid growth of Chinese trade scale became a hot topic in the world,"Made In China"and "China Processing" was widely studied.In order to measure China and another countries actual foreign trade,by analyzing the characteristics of trade activities,domestic and foreign scholars put focus from the final product trade to the production of intermediate goods trade, from statistic the total volume of trade into the domestic content and foreign content accounted for separately, design new methods and models for re-examination the global trade.In this paper,from the perspective of value-added trade, by establishing index system to evaluate export competitiveness of China,Japan and Korea,the results show that China and Korea manufacturing products export competitiveness is overvalued, and Japanese manufacturing products export competitiveness is underestimated. Chinese textiles, textile products, leather and footwear manufacturing, electrical and optical equipment manufacturing, transport equipment manufacturing and recycling manufacturing export products has a strong competitive advantage, machinery and equipment manufacturing export products competitive advantage is not significant but in growing. Japanese and Korean electrical and optical equipment manufacturing and transport equipment manufacturing export products keeps a strong competitive advantage, but show slow downward trend. According to the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of manufacturing industry, the rising labor cost has a negative impact on the upgrading of manufacturing export competitiveness of China and Japan, but it has a positive effect on the export competitiveness of Korean manufacturing industry;Increasing in foreign direct investment has a negative impact on the export competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry, and it has a promoting effect on export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in Japan and Korea;Increasing in R&D investment of manufacturing sector has a promoting effect on export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in China and Japan, but the impact on the competitiveness of Korea’s manufacturing industry. is not significant;Rising exchange rate has a negative impact on China’s manufacturing export competitiveness, and has a positive role in promoting the export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in Japan and Korea; Specialization deepening plays an important role in promoting the export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in China, Japan and Korea.
