Research On Agglomeration Degree Measuring Of High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry In China Based On Spatial Inequalities

As one of the seven strategic emerging industries, high-end equipment manufacturing industry has an important strategic position in the national economic system. Because of China’s vast territory, it is quite different in terms of natural resource, industrial foundation and polices among each region, which makes large gaps among the development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry in different regions. The reasonable industrial distribution is quite important in prompting the regional economic development. It is of great significance for the future development of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry to analyze the current situation of its industrial distribution. This paper analyzes the spatial inequalities of the development level of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry and its current degree of spatial agglomeration, and presents the current industrial distribution of it as a whole.First, this paper summarizes the related domestic and foreign research on spatial inequalities and agglomeration of industry and the relationship between them, and the same research on high-end equipment manufacturing industry. Based on it, this paper sorts out the related theories about spatial inequalities and agglomeration of industry. It forms the theoretical basis of this paper. Then, it introduces the development status of high-end equipment manufacturing industry in general. Then, when analyzing the spatial inequalities of high-end equipment manufacturing industry, this paper studies the spatial distribution discrepancy of the five sub industries of high-end equipment manufacturing industry using the Gini Coefficient. By the Theil Index, It also researches the discrepancy of development status of high-end equipment manufacturing industry in different regions, different provinces and pefecture-level cities respectively by the method of quantitative analyzes. When analyzing the agglomeration degree of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry, this paper establishes the classification criteria for differentiating the agglomeration types of the five sub industries of high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and classifies the agglomeration types of each sub industry of high-end equipment manufacturing industry based on it; It judges the causes of spatial agglomeration of it using the EG Model; This paper also studies the relationship between spatial inequalities and agglomeration degree of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry using Regression Analysis Model. Finally, this paper summarizes the conclusion, sums up the shortcomings of it, and puts forward the research direction in the future.
