Four of the water-soluble cellulose ethers include carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC), methyl cellulose / hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose(MC / HPMC), hydroxyethyl cellulose(HEC), ethyl cellulose(EC), the current strong demand for these products, but the low domestic product quality, product structure is irrational, companies operating rate. Foreign companies, with its strong technical, economic strength and high quality of products first to seize the domestic market, domestic enterprises to create a strong pressure, the paper hopes to study cellulose ether industry development strategy of Company B to get further development, guidance the next few years in the field of business management activities.Through to B company business background information,which combine internal and external environment,resource analysis,the use of strategic management theory and tools for enterprise development strategy research. By using the macro environment PEST analysis, Porter’s five force model analysis tools to analyze the external environment,summarized the opportunities and threats of the external environment;through internal production capacity,R & D,marketing,human resources,finance resources analyzed,summarized within the enterprise environment,strengths and weaknesses;then using SWOT theory to set up an external opportunities and internal strengths and weaknesses of the threat of a two-dimensional matrix,Boston matrix combined company’s business development for the company’s final results Strategy: MC / HPMC, CMC products adopt cost leadership strategy; EC, HEC product implementation, product differentiation strategy.
