This paper researches on the problem of the loss of core talents in SG Petroleum Equipment Company (hereafter short for SG Company) based on talent flow models, the talent motivation theory and the talent expectation theory. This paper systematically studies the present situation of the loss of core talents in SG Company as well as the harm, why this happened and how to alleviate this situation.This paper follows the research ideas of "What-Why-How". Firstly, this paper carries out the SWOT analysis on the present situation of SG company and points out the drawback of talent shortage in SG’s future development, then analyses deeply the seriousness of talent loss from two main hazards it brings to the company:reduction of performance and competitiveness and increase of human resource cost. Secondly, this paper finds out that three factors cause core talents loss:people factor, company factor and society factor by adopting interview method and induction method. Lastly, considering the relevant theories and SG company’s actual situation, from the perspective of strategy planning of SG company, this paper comes to the conclusion that SG company should build dynamic management model of core talents model which comprises three parts:one is to build the system of recruit, training, maintain and use of core talents; another is to create the warning procedure of potential loss of core talents, and the last one is to strengthen the crisis management of core talents.It’s hoped that this paper can help SG company to improve the situation of core talents loss and solve core talents loss problem, and play a good role on how to solve similar problems in other petroleum equipment companies.
