During command economy period, our country has implemented the employment system featuring unified job assignment, men and women have a more equal employment opportunity, and gender income gap is small, female labor participation level is higher. Compared with the female labor force participation rate in the same period, the female labor participation rate in China is in the leading level. With the gradual deepening of the market reform, female labor participation rate fell. According to the World Bank, since 1980, China’s female labor participation rate has been on a downward trend, and is obviously lower than the male labor participation rate. At the same time, the difference between men’s and women’s labor participation rate rise, the wage gap is gradually expanding. On the one hand, The female labor force participation rate decline is because of the gender roles of female, not only need to take care of the children but also to take on more of the housework, on the other hand, also with the female’s personal factors, family structure factors, social factors and so on influence women’s labor participation. In the changing of the concept of women, they pay more attention to gender equality and social status acquisition; they hope pull out from the multifarious housework and play more roles in the society. They also hope to get more attention and social status improved. There are some researches on the influence factors of female labor participation, but in the changing environment, the influence factors will gradually change. Therefore, it is necessary to further research on other factors that affect female labor participation. This paper, from the perspective of modern labor supply theory, analyzes the factors which affect the female labor participation, and puts forward suggestions for the improvement of female labor participation.This paper use the data from CHNS of 2011, from two aspects to analysis the life satisfaction how to impact the participation and work time of married women. In the analysis of the influence of life satisfaction on the participation of married women, the Heckman two stage methods is adopted to correct the errors of the model results. When analyzing the influence factors of life satisfaction to the working time of married women, the OLS method is used to analyze the effect of the test.This paper finds that life satisfaction has a negative effect on the labor participation of married women, and the lower the degree of life satisfaction of married women, the work time investment is also less. At the same time, in the analysis of the effect of other factors, found that wages has a positive effect on married female labor participation, higher wages, married women’s labor force participation rate is high, and working time longer; The longer housework hours, the lower the labor participation rate of married women, and the shorter time spend in working; Need to care for children under the age of 6 women, labor participation rate is low, and also negative influence on working hours; and the need to take care of her parents of married women, working hours is less; Education level has significant influence on female labor participationBased on the above research results, on the bases of the advanced experience of domestic and foreign, the paper suggests to provide more employment opportunities for women, one is to continue on the basis of rapid development, vigorously develop the tertiary industry in the second industry, developing the township and community employment opportunities, providing perfect labor market intermediary service, encourage entrepreneurship, to provide more jobs; changing the traditional concept of the housework, so that the couple shared the housework, while the domestic labor market, by the professional domestic Service Corporation to provide household labor; Improving the market of child care services, to reduce the gap between men and women, and to increase the stock of female human capital.
