Study On Moderate Scale Management Of Grain-producing Family Farm In Lin’an City

As a new type of agricultural management main body, family farm and agriculture moderate scale operation have been an hot research in the past two years. According to a large number of surveys, the author found that in the pursuit of economies of scale, due to the different areas of natural endowments and social environmental factors, the family farm shew variours appropriate scales; and even in the same area according to different types of planting crops, the optimum size of family farm also revealed different. Therefore, by surveying 48 farms of 8 towns and 25 administrative villages in Lin’an city, this study aims to measure the optimal size of grain-producing family farm in Lin’an city.As to the specific investigation and methodology of this study, first, we collected the sample data based on questionnaires from key information interviewees, then by using the data envelopment analysis(DEA) to calculate the technical efficiency and super efficiency of each DMU, finally to get the optimal scale by comparing the results of statistics. By empirical analysis, the results of study show that the optimum size of grain-producing family farm in Lin’an city is 60-80 acres.At last, the study put forward the recommendations mainly on the perspectives from: complete land circulation system, enhance human capital elements, strengthen the infrastructure construction, perfect agricultural subsidy policy and improve social service system construction.
