With the development of economy, the resource recycling have attracted more and more attention. The demand of decanter, which as a key equipment for effectively separating materials and recollecting recyclable resources, increase very fast year by year.In order to achieve more market share, the enterprises should make quick response to the market demand and effectively shorten R&D period.This thesis, focusing high-speed and big torque decanter centrifuge, analyses the problems during the process of CSCI’s R&D.Introduce schedule management methods, and quality management to the R&D process. Apply schedule management methods to breaking down the R&D project, according to the estimated duration of each breakdown assignment, improve the completion speed of R&D project through using CPM and PERT, adopt quality management method, establish and define the goal which must be achieved, of the R&D project product. Around the objective, combining process management in quality management, from the total process angle of new product R&D, provide R&D product quality control method respectively from the aspects of raw material quality management, human managements key-component and whole machine test. The application of schedule management and quality management in high-speed and big torque decantercentrifuge R&D project, effectively decreases process confusion, beyond of plan cycle and parts reworking, avoids the phenomenon of no guarantee on quality stability because of compressing product test and assembly time due to lax production status at the beginning and tight production status in the late.
