Optimization Study For VMI Implementation Project In XX Company

This study takes XX company VMI(Vendor Managed Inventory) implementation project as an example. It first describes thedefinition and features of VMI, followed with the actual problem in XX companyproject. Then point out the related appropriate solution-modify the traditional organization structure, use fitting methods for project schedule planning and schedule risk management to solve the actual problem in company project management.During the actual company project management,due to a series of problems like time & human resource, traditional project management methods are normally unable to meet the company requirement on project time.Especially in manufacturing company of functional organization structure, both the CPM and CCPM which has been studied a lot in modern project management area faces the difficulties of actual implementation and brings challenge upon it.So after analyzing the organization structure theory, this study proposes a new project management structure-stratification structure.Under this structure, the study makes an in-depth analysis on the change of the project procedure, corresponding usage of project schedule planningupon CCPM and schedule risk management upon re-arrangement of logic order of key jobs. Through the analysis for previous issues and results of the project refination,this proposed method has been proved with practicability and feasibility.
