With the swift development of tourist market and the sharp competition between every tourist destinations, the competition of “image” is becoming the most competitive point after the competitions of resources and market. Now how to creat a special image of tourist destination has become the most important problem for scenic area. Creating a special image of tourist destination not only promotes the further development of tourist industry but also helps the tourists reduce the cost of making tour choice. So, to improve the competition, it is very necessary for a tourist city to make a strategy about the image of tourist destination.This paper puts DongYing to be the target of research, by analyzing the problems about the image of Dongying tourist destination, we try finding a good way to evaluate a more suitable image of Dongying, and designing a series of tactics of spreading to propagandize the new image.The first part includes the background of the research and the summary of home and abroad, and explains the significance and the new point of this essay.The second part elaborates some theories about the image of tourist destination and some concepts connected with spreading. For example, the image of tourist destination, evaluation, mark and so on.The third part mainly analyzes the problems which are exposed from the present image of Dongying tourist destination, this essay aims at the major problem to search the solutions.The fourth part is the main introduction of Dongying, including the potentialities and influential factors which will help to make the evaluation of the new tourist image of Dongying. It is the most important reference to make the evaluation, without it, the evaluation will lose contact with reality and come to fail.The fifth part is based on the principles of the evaluation of the image of tourist destination and the principles of the design of slogan to design the tour image and the slogan of Dongying, which is the main content of the image spreading.The sixth part, from the excavation of the resources’ culture value and the brand-making of the image of tourist destination, is to design the long-term spreading strategy of Dongying, the spreading strategy of culture and brand, and the above tow aspects are the guidance of Dongying tourist industry.The seventh part is, by the ways of media, advertisement, public relation and holiday, to propose the equitable methods to make the tourist image of Dongying to spread further.The last part is to draw the conclusion and to point out the faults.
