Comments and suggestions on the regulation of imported food was given by means of learning from domestic and abroad research results, imported food control experience and lessons from other ports, as well as the regulatory experience in the United States, Japan, the European Union and other major developed countries and regions in the world.The research found the current imported food supervising has some problems, such as low entry barriers, underdeveloped regulatory mode, low standard adoption rate, poor follow-up regulatory convergence and so on. In order to improve and optimize our imported food supervising work, it is recommended that the legal system and the standard system should be improved, information sharing between relevant departments should be strengthened, the main responsibility of the importers should be clarified further, and port supervising patterns should be innovated.
