Food safety directly related to people’s life safety and health, the relationship between economic development and social stability.Imported food safety not only consumers’health, but also related to international security and the national image, the governments at all levels and the social from all walks of life pay special attention to this too.2015, our country entry-exit inspection and quarantine department of food imported from more than 200 countries and regions in strict implementation of inspection and quarantine, check out the unqualified food imports 16000 batches, up 16.50% over 2011.For 131 kinds of products,585 kinds of harm to the project risk monitoring, risk early warning bulletin,633, properly deal with the New Zealand dairy products such as botox since more than 50 of emergencies, imported food safety issues are grim.Export and import more than incremental rapidly, complex food supply chain, non-traditional food safety issues highlighted in the field of food safety has become an import new normal, also more and more get the attention of people.This essay is to search the problems on the regulatory process at Suifenhe Port, based on the statistical data of imported food at Suifenhe Port and combined with comprehensive analysis on field research results. Comments and suggestions on the regulation of imported food was given by means of learning from domestic and abroad research results, imported food control experience and lessons from other ports, as well as the regulatory experience in the United States, Japan, the European Union and other major developed countries and regions in the world.The research found the current imported food supervising has some problems, such as low entry barriers, underdeveloped regulatory mode, low standard adoption rate, poor follow-up regulatory convergence and so on. In order to improve and optimize our imported food supervising work, it is recommended that the legal system and the standard system should be improved, information sharing between relevant departments should be strengthened, the main responsibility of the importers should be clarified further, and port supervising patterns should be innovated.
