Study On Factors That Influence Farmers’ Income Growth And Counter Measures

It was put forward in the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that by the 2020, China should complete the goal of building a comprehensive well-off society, double the gross national product and income of urban and rural residents compared to the counter number in 2010. It is emphasized in the central rural meeting that we need to try hard to enhance farmers’ income in the process of“Income Doubling”, it manifests farmers’ income problem has already become a national problem.After several years’ high speed growth, the income of rural residents in Zhejiang has come to a new stage, ranking first in provinces 29 years in a row, only next to Shanghai and Beijing. But recent years, because of many reasons, there is something wrong happening in the growth of farmers’ income in Zhejiang, it includes the high base number, low growth rate, unreasonable income structure. Farmers’ income problem is the key to the three agriculture-related issues, so we should put more effort to study it.From the current situation, the paper combines income level, income structure,income comparison and issues in enhancing income, through massive data, we have a deep research of the income of rural residents in Zhejiang Province. Then, through natural factors, technological factors, market factors, farmers’ own factors, makes the qualitative analysis of the factors that affects farmers’ income in Zhejiang. By multiple linear regressions analysis, the paper analyzes the factors affect farmers’ income in Zhejiang and finally propose the suggestions to increase the income of rural residents in Zhejiang Province, hope these suggestions can be useful to other provinces’ income improving program.Through the research, we come to the conclusion(1)Farmers’ income in Zhejiang is far beyond the national level, ranking first in province area, but we also need to focus on the slowdown of the growth rate and irrationality of the income structure. The income structure is transforming from dual structure to multiple structure, the significance of transfer income is increasing, but we can still make some improvements in the income structure.(2)The gap between different places isbroadening, the disparity between the income of northeastern Zhejiang and southwestern Zhejiang is significant. The income gap between urban and rural residents is large and the narrowing mechanism is still to be established.(3)The income gap between rural residents is also large, especially between the highest group and lowest group.(4)Through the analysis of the factors which influence the farmer’s income,we can easily come to the conclusion that the labor flow factor and farmers’ own factor will influence farmers’ wage income, natural factor and market factors will influence farmers’ operating income.(5)By multiple linear regression analysis, we find that labor flow factor and farmers’ own factor’s will remarkablely influence farmers’ income, the other factors will also affect farmers’ income.Based on these conclusions, the paper proposes the following measures: improve the level of agricultural mechanization, develop ecological agriculture, enhance the level of rural education, accelerate the establishment of labor flow mechanism,strengthen agricultural financial support, etc.in order to fully mobilize various resources, promote the growth of farmers’ income in Zhejiang.
